International Women's Day which use to be known as "International Working Women's Day." It's to celebrate women's rights. Apparently, every March 8 has been designated "International Women's Day."
It seems that some women are protesting by NOT going to work. Call me old fashioned, but women have come a long way with rights. I believe we are equal to men. Some might argue that women don't get the same pay as men. I say it depends on the job. We have as many rights as men do, so why are they protesting and NOT working?? Granted for now, I don't work out side of the home, but I make money on-line and do house chores.
So, for all the women on mylot today, are you working or did you take the day off??
~Peace~

I wish there was some other way to get what is needed than by protesting. I know what these women are trying to do but I think, in the long run, it is doing more harm than good.
