Are you good at giving second chances to someone?

I know that this depends totally on who the people are involved, just as the reason(s) for the discussion should be taken into account.
I've always been very categorical about people who make mistakes with me. If it's a serious mistake, I can't go ahead giving a second chance because it will never be the same again.
It may seem unfair, but until the moment I couldn't change it. I hope to be able to do that someday.

I did give someone a second chance here assuming that they had changed but as they say old habits die hard and they were back with their nasty ways. No more

I am good at giving second chances. Probably not as good as I used to be, though. I always give people a chance to start with (even the people I instantly dislike, even though I've never been wrong about a person I instantly disliked). People can and do change, though, so I think it is fair, depending on what has gone on, to give a second chance. There are some people I'd give more chances than others, but there is always a limit.
