Photo taken by me – A view of Blackburn from the golf club in Darwen
Preston, England
March 12, 2017 11:32am CST
I was invited to take photos of committee members for an important growing group promoting mental health awareness through music and the arts. I was the only attendee not on their board of directors, and they were lovely people. The meeting was in a reserved room at a venue used as a popular well used and very busy golf club in the Blackburn district of Darwen, a lovely Lancashire mill town surrounded by the Pennine hills. The club prepared a fantastic buffet for us. There was also a very nice chocolate birthday cake for one member’s birthday. Though it as expected that the meeting would run all day, we finished 90 minutes early by rushing through the agenda as many wanted to get home in time for a major televised rugby match. My thanks to Everyone at Music & The Mind, especially Brian who gave me a lift to and from Darwen. Arthur Chappell

@asfarasiknow yes, they are always a chance not to have to eat again for most of the day

I got to play rugby a few times when I was a kid. Pretty fun.
