....and after the headache subsided(hahhah) I thought I would write about this. I have wondered for a long time why so many(me included) wake up and feel so tired. Maybe I have a solution.
Depending on our individual body chemistry we can have many different symptoms as to experiencing low blood sugar. Feeling shaky and week, a bit down or depressed, anxiety, confused or tired, and extreme hunger can all be symptoms of low blood sugar and you need to have a bit of natural sugar, like a piece of fruit, first thing in the morning. A person may even have an increased pulse and speedy breathing until their body experiences a raise in their blood sugar levels.
Eating several small meals during the day can get your body used to a stable blood sugar level. Avoid any alcohol before bed because this can cause your blood sugar to spike and then drop dramatically.
Will continue to research this and see what I find.

I have read before eating more often and smaller amounts is better, I do know if I get too hungry I tend to overeat, also not good.

Me too. I think that a diet of about five small meals/snacks during the day is good. Keeps the metabolism going and gives us renewed energy for those who are real active.

Many of us are sensitive to caffeine and don't realize it. Glad your dad found what the problem was.

@celticeagle My sister in law sometimes passes out or falls asleep, it can be a little disconcerting if you don't know what her problem is.

I have read about eating on a consistent basis everyday.
That is what I have to do even if it is only something small.
I am not sure what my blood sugar is, but I just start feeling quesy if I dont eat.
I think it is the stress.

I would make a list of the things you like and that don't mess with you and then eat one of those every few hours. Small meals/snacks so your system has something in it. There is the brat diet too for people that are sick.BRAT It consists of: bananas, rice, applesauce and toast. These things seem to digest the easiest and give us the least grief when we aren't feeling well.
