Do you use glasses and shield to protect eyes and face when cooking in the kitchen?

The other day, when I was checking for my housewares, the glasses and shield came to my attention. I never use special glasses, and never heard about kitchen shield. They seem functional, but have any of you ever use them?

Protective glasses in the kitchen sounds like a great idea, especially when I'm chopping onions.

Yes, if you are not short or far sighted, think about buying a protective one, which shouldn't be too expensive. Even if you are a glasses wearer, it can save your lenses, as they are usually rather expensive.

No, I don't use anything like that. It might make me look like I'm going to a war instead of just cooking. Plus it would make my mom sick from laughing at me.

Never for cooking and I work in a commercial kitchen. The only time I wear goggles and gloves is using a cleaning product to remove limescale on the dish washer and various bain maries. I also use gloves on some ovens and fryers as it's a grimy dirty job and the old fat/oil gets in your skin and takes ages to wash off. For normal cooking nobody wears any protection.
