The Smile that Made My Day!

I waited all day wondering if my grandson had received his birthday gift. I had actually given up hope that I would indeed hear if he received his gift.
Then from out of the blue, I got a message that said "they fit!" along with the message was this picture. I cropped it to keep his identity hidden. The Smile made my day.

That would make me smile too. I am happy he loves them. I bought my daughter a pair of black flats for school choir. She adores them too.

There was such a variety to choose from and you want to make sure that what you choose is something they will like. I read review after review to see what others thought as well. So, yes, I was relieved and happy that he liked them!

@ElusiveButterfly I am the same way. I do my research when looking for something someone else my like. It pays off when they do. Smiles are a nice reward for the effort.

@ElusiveButterfly ~When we were kids, my Mom always had us write thank you notes (1960-70's) when we received gifts. While I try to continue the practice, my siblings have not. In order to be sure that they actually get a gift, I pay extra for package tracking. Even if it's a greeting card with a gift card. I know that an acknowledgement or thank you isn't going to happen. I know that you don't give gift to receive thanks or praise. However, these days it is nice to know that they got the package in the first place.
