If you get told off for something, do you keep doing that same thing?

I just don't understand it. If you do something and get told off for it, are you going to keep doing that thing? If you park in a "no parking zone" and get fined, or get your car towed, are you going to park there again? If you go to work out of dress code, and get written up, are you going to go to work in "civilian clothes" again? some people do. I just don't understand that. I understand some situations call for a "protest" of sorts. I understand the need to stand up for something you believe in. I don't understand blatantly going against structured rules, that are there for a reason. I understand not liking said rules, but then you have a choice. You can choose to stay in that situation, and abide by the rules. Or you can leave that situation, find something different, and move on. I don't understand those who continuously go against a rule, know that they'll get in trouble for it, and yet continue to do it. Especially when they have the choice to walk away. Do you? Understand, I mean.

You are right, it's the behavior of a child. Actually, what I am talking about, has happened here on mylot a lot. Users post discussions they know are against guidelines, get it deleted and yet post it again.

Exactly. I realize sometimes it's hard to get out of that situation (a job), but you should still abide the rules.

Some people just don't care and do not want to be told what to do, want not to do. They just never learn

That is one thing that I will never understand. Why do some people keep doing wrong things over and over.

I know what you mean. I think those people are in denial of their actions

Exactly. Or, they don't care that they get in trouble for it. Crave the attention that it brings.

I understand where you are coming from, and being the type of person who hates confrontations, I would do everything in my power not to cause myself to get reprimanded. I also have seen people who are just that defiant to do it anyway.

I hate confrontation myself. I will do anything to avoid it. However, sometimes, I feel the need to confront the situation. No, I wasn't talking about my job here. Unfortunately, people don't get told off for the wrongs they do, and just keep doing them.
