There are a lot of under appreciated people in  this world and I thought I would enjoy bringing you this series to bring some acclaim to them so for this one, I bring you: shopping cart wranglers. Most of the stores I shop at offer a cart.  However living in Minnesota where winters can be terribly cold, I feel a special pity for the shopping cart wrangler.  That person that wrangles shopping carts together, retrieving them from not only the "cart corrals" that usually occupy prime parking spaces, but also from all over the parking lot where lazier patrons have left them sit.  These people work, rain or shine, heat or cold and probably for minimum wage so that shopping can be convenient for us.  While I, too am guilty of leaving carts sit near my car - I normally try to put the cart in the cart corral to make life a little easier for our unsung hero: the cart wrangler. * If you enjoy this type of writing, please click the green "unsung heros" box at the top Surprisingly interesting article about the history of the shopping cart:
They're everywhere - in almost every grocery store, department store, and bulk item superstore. Depending on where you live in the world, you might call them carts, trolleys, carriages, buggies, or wagons. The guys from MTV's Jackass practically built thei

We always return them to the cart coral. If we see one, we either push it to use inside or return them where they belong.

We often pick up a stray cart on our way to the store from the parking area and we always return it when we've finished. But we don't have snow and really freezing weather here.

@FayeHazel It's just the ones floating in the car park and only if they are more or less in our path.

Huh. I've never thought about it before, but I'll go look. I hate when it's a windy day and people leave their carts out. I've seen them roll right into other people's vehicles.

Oh good point there - I was grocery shopping in the near gale force winds we were having here and it blew my cart away - groceries and all , had to run to get it I was happy it didn't smack into someone's car.
