What do you usually do when you have hiccups?

It had been a while since I had no hiccups and today they decided to visit me for a few hours. Boring guests!
But I always know how to deal with them, because drinking water with the glass in the upside-down position always works (at least with me
).
How do you handle with them when they come to you?

my method is foolproof for me. It has never failed. It doesn't work for everyone, but at least I can count on it. 10 sips of water without taking a breath. It has to be 10 sips, once I stopped at 9 and it didn't work! That's my story and I'm happy as a clam about it. I love success!

Isn't that interesting? I'll have to try that. Heaven help you if my success rate isn't as good!

@JudyEv Take a deep breath first! 10 swallows takes a long time!

I rarely get them anymore (I don't know why) . . . but when I do, it's usually because I ate or drank way too quickly. Normally I do nothing - it does not last long. Do you mean you tilt the glass upside down so you pour it in your mouth or do you go upside down?

Nine swallows of water usually does it for me.

blow out in a paper bag and breathe in the carbon dioxide that you exhaled. in an instant, the hiccup will be gone. this is tried and tested.

I had them not too long ago and I hate when they happen. I try to hold my breath or just wait for them to stop.

no idea what you speak of.
