Was The Affordable Care Act ever realized? If so why do away with it?

I know that more people including myself are saying NO to the latest Trump Care act that is having trouble getting past all the Objections in Washington.
It is a simple thing I believe ... Let the Republicans have half the country to do what they want and let the Democrats have the other half to do things their own way.
This nation is so divided that it is not even FUNNY.
The level of division is worse than the days of the Civil War but so far no one has fired a single shot, but then people are, in fact dying. For lack of health care coverage period, regardless of who's policy is being put forth!

Love your solution, as long as Pennsylvania is Democratic
. The only thing Trumpers seem to want to change is the fines for people who don't have insurance.
Makes no sense to me.
Maybe if we had not nicknamed it Obamacare they wouldn't be so determined to change it.
Trumpcare? Pencecare? Republicare? Ivankacare? Mega millions care?

Well if you can afford the high premiums and the Poor care it is Great. But many are going without due to this and no one really cares. Paying out $500 a month or more before you see a Doctor or more is the New norm?

I have used it, but the premiums have gotten out of hand. One time I used it at the doctor, and the visit was supposed to be covered but the doctor was never reimbursed.

We are truly in a Civil War of ideas. I don't remember it ever being this bad.

don't know how either work and am not very interested in the technicalities as it won't impact me in any way.
From what I've read in various US publications trumps alterations to obamacare will result in more people not getting health insurance.
I don't know if that is right or wrong it's just what I've read.
