Eat, Sleep and Run: What the ...?

The family had a visitor for a couple of days. It was my cousin who came from a province. Since it is a relative, we welcomed him with open arms. Basically, we accommodate him so well. He had his free meal and a place to sleep. The bizarre thing is he didn't say goodbye when he left yesterday. The family is so upset and felt disrespected. I am not sure if we are going to accept him next time.
What an attitude?

My older daughter's boyfriend came with her last October for the younger daughter's wedding and we checked him in at the hotel but treated him at home with meals several times. When it was time for them to go home, he gave us a card expressing thanks for our hospitality and also gave us a little token gift.

@sunrisefan Well, this cousin of ours cannot have an access to our private rooms. We let him stayed in the guest house. I am sure he will not do it. He is an immediate cousin. We are in concern of being disrespectful for not saying goodbye.

@Shavkat That's sad and unfortunate indeed for you and your family. I remember the time when Ms. Erly was such a hospital host that she even allowed her friend to sleep in her own room, only to find out the following day that her friend ran away with her P200K cash.

It might be that he forgot, or he was so happy with your hospitality he thought formality is no required. That could be.

@Shavkat Its natural that you will feel bad, but I believe you can avoid that part. And live your life and be happy.

That's quite strange. If he had some emergency, at least he should leave a message to you. It is very disturbing that he just disappeared suddenly. You might feel what's wrong with it and you might also feel worried about him because you don't know where he is. Perhaps he is too young to know some basic manners.

I am not surprised. We come across such specimens often these days.

He will phone or something, i'm sure. I' m one of those that if for some reason have to leave a place, at least a phone call can be expected

In fact, we were not close to him. He had been staying too far from our place. It was a sudden showing up that he is here. We never thought he will do this. I think he can have a cold treatment next time. She disrespected my mom. It is fine not to say goodbye to me. At least, he can just say goodbye to my mom.
