Free Flour

I use a lot of flour, so was very happy last night when I won a free bag of flour. The reason I ended up with this coupon is the person in front of me at the grocery store was so nice that he gave me all of his Monopoly Pieces because he doesn't play the game. He told the checker he doesn't play and I said I'm playing and ended up opening the first piece and it was a winner.
How is your day going now? Has anyone handed you something that ended up saving you money?

I was so surprised to win because of pieces given to me by a stranger. I'm hoping he is a member of Mylot and sees this post. I am so thankful to do more baking.

Thanks sorry your country doesn't have coupons. I know I'm really lucky to be able to save money on products I normally pay for them.

@Fishmomma I think it would be fun to try that, at least once, as a game. I have seen that on TV and I would not live around coupons. But just for once, it would be a thrill.

Our local chain, Price Chopper, has a similar program. Actually, they just finished it up, it ended Saturday. I realized that I could send SASE's and get free game tickets, AND get back a bunch of interesting stamps that I put on the self-addressed stamped envelopes! I didn't expect to win any big prizes, but some of the tickets have instant coupons for free things, so I got almost an entire shopping trip free! (Stuff like pasta, sauce, mushrooms, orange, bagel, soda, and a few other things I can't remember.) It was definitely a lot of fun, and gave me a good opportunity to get some of my stamps cancelled to add to my collection. In fact, toward the end I started putting two stamps on each envelope, since I have so many stamps I needed cancelled! I wish I had thought of that from the start.

I have sent in envelopes in past games to add cool canceled stamps to my collection. Its always fun to do a free shopping spree. My daughter won free produce a couple times. Sure wish I could open a lot of them.

I have won with pieces from shopping there including the tissues that I redeemed last night. This year the game has been really good with free sugar, now flour, salt and a movie ticket.

@Fishmomma My mom gets a lot of coupons from out grocery store. She is always so excited when she can get free things or things that are normally a lot of money haha
