This morning I was awakened after finally getting to sleep by the sound of the wind and heavy rain on our roof. I looked at the clock and seen it was 8:35 AM EST and I could hear one of my granddaughters talking. Which meant that she did not make it to the school bus.
When the bus leaves it goes past our house and I was told there were no kids on it. Which does not surprise me at all because when I looked out the window the rain and the winds were super heavy!
She had been sick and already missed too much school already!
No one here has a car so she is hanging out here and later she will go home to hang out with her father and baby sister.

I hate it when the kids miss school. My grandson just doesn't get up and get after it. He on meds and it makes him hard for him. Plus they have to be out there at 6:10a.
