Marital Rape: A hoax. Not real!

Politically Incorrect seems to be the new trend. I am taking it a step further and going socially and culturally incorrect. ~o0o~ I am flabbergasted at this very moment and can't seem to shake off what I saw today. I always knew that but to have face it is a bit different. So, I stumbled upon a debate on "marital rape" which is a 'fancy' term and does not exist. This is constituted as domestic violence and is wrong but it cannot be considered as rape. Reasons being: 1. The consent was already given at the time of the marriage. 2. The intimacy between husband and wife should be kept away from words such as rape. They should not be mixed. 3. There is no law against it in India. Marital rape is not recognized. 4. No one can prove such rape 5. Women use it as a tool to extort money from their husbands and to get revenge. 6. If a husband is a rapist then why a wife is living with him? Simply because she is lying. 7. If a wife forces her husband to go shopping, is it called extortion? No, right? Then why husband having sex with wife is rape? ............. many more but can't recall it at the moment, sorry! So, yeah...........kindly enlighten me because I find these all reasons to be bullshit. I am highly disheartened that a few of these reasons came from women and that there is so much brainwashing in the name of the culture that abuse and rape are considered the norm of the society. Where does it lead us? To quote: ****To say that the institution of marriage will be threatened by such a law is to either underestimate the very real affections, bonds and negotiations that hold good marriages together despite deep disagreements and differences, or to accept that sexual abuse and coercion is so common in marriages that no man dares risk such a law. When society makes theft or murder, a punishable offense, it does so not because everyone is a potential thief or murderer but to protect everyone from the few thieves and murderers. Are these laws misused? Of course, they are, all of them, and with sickening frequency. But nobody is asking for them to be thrown out, are they?**** (Photo by Pixabay)
Since the late 20th century, most of the developed world has criminalised marital rape, but India has still not.

Unfortunately, martial rape does exist in some couples. I understand what you're saying here though. That's why people should get to know each other getting married.

An understanding husband will never encounter this situation. And an understanding wife will give in even if she is not in he mood Doing it forcefully will only be between those who are not in love with each other

I came to one of your discussions to visit with you because I miss you. I cannot stay on this discussion, though. I am sorry.

@responsiveme It really is. I am shocked that when we don;t ven acknowledge the crime then how can we change or improve it?
