Finished another commissioned artwork

I often get mixed feelings every time I work on a commissioned piece. It sure does feel flattering to know that people trust me to make artwork for their home or office. But I tend to feel tired and overwhelmed focusing on just one piece given the time constraints. I usually work on several pieces, so it can be such a challenge to concentrate on just one artwork for several days. Of course, it has its merits and rewards. It feels great to finally finish something and send it off to the client. This watercolor painting that I did is for a music studio in California. :o) I have another piece to work on -- this time for a local dance studio. But it doesn't have a clear deadline yet, so I guess I'll take a break in the meantime and do some ink sketches with my dip pen. Image credit: Pixabay

oh, so you're an artist by profession? wow. do they give the concept then you give them a sample for them to approve? if you have a website, you can put the link in your profile.

yes, the client sometimes provides a concept but leaves it up to me to execute :) more often though they just let me do it my way. i give them studies and they choose one. at this point i'm not sure if i'm ready to share my blog link in my mylot bio. it's out there in the open but it's relatively quiet. i'd be happy to dm the url to anyone who would ask. :o)

i've had similar doubts too. still do. i just try to make art as often and post as often so people will notice. and somehow that worked.

That's great that you are getting commissions but I can understand that you would get tired working on a single piece for too long.
