He Was Supposed To Be In Bed

My eldest son was moving into a house from an apartment with his 2 1/2 yr son and his girlfriend. This will be their first night staying in the house. They have not got up my grandson's bed set up yet. So, they put him to bed in their new bed. As my fiance, daughter and myself came over liked they asked us too. My grandson cried when he saw grandma. He refused to go to sleep. Every time they tried walking out and closing the door, he cried. Of course, dad let him up. As he didn't want his son crying the whole time. To my grandson's delight, he started running around the house. He had to show grandma his Paw Patrol run out in the play room and a few other things. My grandson picked up a piece of cardboard and pretended it was a book reading it. He handed it to me. I asked if he wanted me to read the story he said yes. He can say a lot of words. Most of the time we still can't understand what he says but it is a delight to listen to him try. Being funny at least in my head, I looked at the cardboard and pretended I was reading from a book. I said, 'This story starts out with a little boy who is supposed to be in bed. His grandma comes over and he cried til his dad let him out of bed. I wonder who that little boy would be.' My grandson yells out his name 'KJ' and started laughing. So, did everyone else. As he grabbed the cardboard and zipped off to another part of the house. My fiance looked at me and said it was time to go home to go to bed. I looked at my grandson and told him Ppaw (That is his name for grandpa) said it was time for grandma to go bed. I have to go. He said kiss, ran and grabbed his blanket and up to his mom to put him back in bed. I started laughing. As that told me in my head that little one got up because grandma was over. It made me feel good. Do you have any grandchildren that do cute things when you visit?
