As I've written in several posts, the mother-in-law , my hubby and I live on 3 acres that we share. The mother-in-law is in her mid 70's. One day the hubby went to our local market and she followed him to the store to ask him to do something for her. (We had just been outside and she never mentioned anything.) Well, the other day the hubby went to the market and he saw some one (old lady, actually his words were "ol' bitty") talking to the cashier. He never paid any attention and was shopping and then his mom walked up to him. He thought of course she followed him to the store and she needed him to do some thing for her. She informed him, she was talking to the cashier. His reply was that "he saw some o' lady (bitty) and never paid any attention to who she was! Of course she took offense to it and there was another elderly lady and she laughed and said, "well, we all have gray hair!" He came home and told me all about it and this was one of the times, I was glad I didn't go with him!! ~Peace~ photo courtesy of pixabay

It's easy to overlook people in stores or other public places. Sometimes I think I know the person only to realize it's someone else.
