Update on Broken Leg /Foot! Miss You All!

Got great news at the surgeon the other day - Jay can start putting pressure on his foot and slowly trying to walk again!! As long as he has crutch and boot on of course at first and uses wheelchair for periods where he can't stand for too long ... but doc says he is healing really well.
Only problem now is he was also diagnosed just recently with severe arthritis in his hip which was probably from a previous injury years ago, so with that and his leg he won't be able to go back to work for a bit still. We are in the process of trying to get him on some kind of disability until he can go back to work. He hates being stuck at home but he needs to heal right now.

@MissNikki Glad to know Jay is healing well but sorry about the arthritis! Also hoping he can get extra help while off work. I mean money wise. I already know you're being his angel during this time.

I hop e he heals as fast as is possible so he will be bac k to work soon but e does have to heal first

If your not used to be still the inactivity could cause a lot of stress. Does he have any sedentary hobbies? Reading, puzzles, woodworking...painting?

He does enjoy playing video games, so he has done a bit of that, and he is always researching something or other on his phone. We have gone for a couple walks and his sisters and friend have taken him out for the day a few times so we are trying to keep him from going crazy, LoL

Good to hear he is healing! I'm sure he is very frustrated with not being able to work, I hope all is back to normal soon.

It would be frustrating having to sit around at home when he'd rather be somewhere else but as you say he does need to heal.
