Awareness, it is something we sometimes miss

If not for the internet I probably would not have known about the atrocities some people enjoy doing to our wildlife here in North America.
When I hear the term redneck I think of those "good ole boys" that enjoy killing for the fun of it then, just for the fun of it, they make a contest out of it to see who can kill the most.
Really?? Aren't we supposed to be civilized??
The video I've linked here was filmed in 2015, but knowing good ole boys I would not be surprised if they still do this.
One woman I know told me that her husband and his friends made it a point to cull the wolf population so they wouldn't kill their deer or whatever. I couldn't believe my ears, this made me so sad.
May I ask that you share this video with your friends? If more people are aware then maybe we can put a stop to it, I just have to believe that the majority of people are not ruthless killers.

Oh yes, the abuse of domestic animals is as bad as what they do to the wild @HazySue I'll never understand anyone who claims to love God then will go out and kill wildlife for no better reason than that they want to see something die. Abuse is probably worse but neither is good.

This is so very sad. I think all states should have the tough laws enforced for wildlife that they do in Alaska. Our wildlife would fare much better lives.

@rebelann Oh gosh, Alaska has lots of laws about fishing and hunting. Anthony was telling me about a guy in his unit that bought his license and went fishing for the first time at a local lake. Well, the trooper/game warden come out to check his license and caught him using live bait on the wrong half of the lake. Anthony said that they took his fishing license, fined him $200, took his fishing equipment, and all of the money he had in his wallet and told him that he did not want to see him in that area again. The money in his wallet went toward his fine and I guess he had to go somewhere to collect his fishing gear? Of course, what makes it worse for the military is that they also turn you into your commander. They take the hunting and fishing laws in Alaska as seriously as they do for other crimes.

Wow, that's actually good to hear @Shellyann36 I would hope they have finally banned trophy hunting, that kind of killing is horrendous.

This is really sad. But no wonder that is happening. When some humans can kill human for some stupid reason then wildlife or any life got no chance.

Sorry, I can't bear to watch things like this or even think about them. I think that people who kill for pleasure have something wrong with them. When I was a child my dad hunted to feed us and I am a good hunter myself. But I don't hunt because I don't need to. It's a complex issue but I disagree with the people you are describing and think they would be better off on an island somewhere away from "civilized" society.
