Do you have a friend who is constantly putting you down?

Do you know somebody, who you have been friends with, either online or in the real day to day world outside the internet, who you consider to be a friend, who almost invariably will put you down just for the sake of lifting themselves up on a pedestal of superiority to make themselves feel good?
Is this paranoia or is there some logic to my assumption that I may or you too may have a so called friend, who will try to find fault with some aspect of either your personality, your income, your religious views or food choices to condemn just because it makes them feel better because they have some sadistic personality problem that motivates their behavior?

I had a few friends like that over the years but when I was in my 40s I realized I did not deserve such parasites in my life. I haven't had anyone like that in my life since then.

That's NOT a friend as I recall. Stay away from those people or jsut avoid having conversations related to that.

Thank heavens I have not friends like that. I did one a long time ago and I quickly unfriended them.

They obviously have some problem either have very low self esteem or are psychopathic. Criticise if you are saying something wrong is fine as long as it is constructive and helpful, but not to put you down. You do not need anyone in your life who is negative towards you. Life is too short so dump them!

I know this one witch that will say she is my friend and she talks about me like I am nothing, only because she is nothing but everyone knows how she is and as soon as they see her coming they say " here comes the liar."
On facebook I do have " a friend" (LOL) a face friend from the old days of extreme couponing, That is such a witch about the POTUS that I hate her, its her view that counts and no one else`s.
Now you may ask " why don`t I just unfriend her?" I am a blog writer and I don`t care what her opinions are as long as she views the blogs, mind you she would not dare comment on any of them because she knows she is no longer on facebook and will not have HER audience.
