Silly feral cats

We have these 3 feral cats who live with us, Elmer, Emily and Elizabeth. The other morning I kind of staggered out of my bedroom and knocked something down. I hear **CRASH** and look over to see Elizabeth climbing out of the trash can. The good news, it was empty. Then earlier today, I was watching Rygel looking to lick a plastic bag I had stuck in a different trash can. Off to the side was Elmer. When Rygel got up on his back legs to get to the plastic bag, Elmer moved in to rub against him like a tame cat would rub against their owner's legs. Rygel was not amused. I wish I could tell you a silly story about Emily, but she's the most fearful of the trio, and spends most of her time either outside, or trying to get Tony's attention. She loves Tony who doesn't quite know what to make of her.

The feral cats I can mostly just watch and tell stories of when they do something silly.

River and Dash
Aw. Poor Elmer just wanting some kitty loving... I got brothers who just love to sleep together and the cuddle and nuzzle each other. It's sad with the ferals because you know if they just let you pet them they would figure out that they liked it ! this is Dash and River... my roommates can not tell them apart or my two tuxedos.. But me I don't think they look that much alike... well I did.. until I trained myself.. roommates are just to dopey to learn. or Care.

Flower and Blossom, a sister pair, looked a lot alike, but we could tell them apart. Elmer and Emily, however, unless they were together, they were impossible to tell apart. We thought they were going to go to a barn after they were fixed, but that didn't happen. So, when we got them fixed, we had them "notch" Elmer's right ear instead of the left so we could tell them apart.

@ElicBxn smart thinking. I used to have a pair I couldn't tell apart also. And even though they were born in my house and spent years as indoor cats they always acted feral. I could pet Ares only if I snuck up on him. And NoNaMe would sleep with me and allowed me to pet him on the bed.. But nowhere else in the house.. Odd balls.

Love the names of your Cats. They have been up to their tricks today. I don“t know what to make of some Feral Cats either one day they are very affectionate and the next very distant and fearful and run off. A lady here has at least eight of them all Feral and they all behave like that.

These are just the 3 feral siblings. They are named for a brother/sister in an episode of The Tomorrow People and Elizabeth was one of the regulars on the show. Elmer and Emily were played by Peter Davison and Sandra Dickinson.

@ElicBxn I knew one lady who had a supposedly domesticated Cat that was a real wild one and spat at everyone she saw.

Poor Elmer he only wanted a bit of attention. Each cat has such a distinctive personality.

Be careful about Rygel licking the plastic bag @ElicBxn . Some cats will chew off pieces of the plastic and it can get lodged in the intestines. Some cats will be able to throw it up, but it can be very dangerous. If nothing else the chemicals that are in the plastic bags.

Believe me, I know! the good thing is that he only licks and doesn't chew, the bad thing is he's obsessive with it! They say there is a bit of fish oil on the bags to keep them from sticking and the cats can smell it... all I know is he isn't the first and he won't be the last to lick bags. I just do my best to keep him from doing it.

Cats are characters that's for sure. Mine is snoozing in mommy's chair right now, the good chair..while mommy is stuck on the less comfy one..What's wrong with this picture??

Pretty typical actually. The brats don't get to be too much in the way because I will throw them off if I want to sit some place.

my cat Sid is quite a character. He would fit nicely in your cat company since we adopted him and he was thrown out into the streets. He always find something to know down making me jump.

Mostly the brats are up to their own thing, Except they have to do their own thing in the house or on the catio.
