Big Pig

I was writing about all sorts of objects about my house. Each of them had some kind of story attached. In the photo you see simply a pig. It is an ordinary plastic pig with an amusing expression on its face. In fact I couldn’t take the photo that close but the most interesting thing about this pig is that it is in the process of taking care of its toilet to put things politely here. It came into my life what seems like ages ago. My hubby Martin and I had not settled down to live together yet but we were seeing each other. Therefore if memory serves me right it was in 1995 that we went to a fair here in Riga, Latvia. There were all kinds of rides and machine from which you could get all kinds of objects if you were lucky and of course if you kept feeding the machine money. I have seen these kinds of machines with hook arms inside and colorful toys even in supermarkets. Yet, I have never seen any parent indulge their children to try to get a toy. Simply because it is a waste of money and you might spend more than you thought and never get anything. Well at the time of the fair I saw this pig in the machine and I just had to have it. Well Martin decide alright we could try. So he got a handful of coins and we started trying to get that darn pig. Well as you see in the end it all worked out right and the pig was mine. I forgot how much money it took us but I am quite sure that it was more than we should have spent. Have you ever tried to get objects at fairs through machines or some kind of games?
