When I was working as an officebased teacher, the manager is like a queen bee in the company. She had tried her best to pull down her colleagues and the virtual teachers were treated like her allies. Because of her power in the company, some teachers tried to win her trust. They definitely patronize her and it wasn’t healthy at all.
I had worked in the company without patronizing someone. I am working what’s only based on professionalism. There is one time that she humiliated me in front of my colleagues. Without a second thought, I ended my loyalty to the company and filed my resignation. The queen bee definitely out of line in my personal principles in life: respect and honesty.
Since there is no career growth and the salary is not that high. I let it go and find my way in getting the best opportunity out there. I cannot bend myself to her because I still have my pride. She acted knowing it all. She nibbled the teachers and acted as the best manager in the company. She doesn’t know how to keep the employees of the company. No wonder the turnover is too high.

it really takes guts to leave a company with a boss as authoritative as your former boss.
and you used the word "patronize". i hope others will learn to understand what
this word means in your discussion, my friend
This was what I told to a colleague who ignored me when I was talking to her. It seems she believes the other colleagues are closer to her than me. She would...
