Its Summer and its Truly Hot!

Summer is starting and its really hot. Today I'm not sure how many degree's we have, but it felt like being inside the oven. The humidity was enough for me not to go in the spa for a sauna. Sweat just kept on going and flowing too. So don't forget to hydrate! Eight glasses of water a day is no longer enough. I think I doubled the number of glasses I drank today. I hydrate when ever I feel so hot. I also remind my parents and nephew to drink a lot of water. I also make sure all our pets get enough water all day. I even put some ice cubes in their water bowls just enough to make their water cooler that room temp. I heard from the news that despite of being inside the house on a very hot day doesn't prevent a person from having stroke so its important to cool our body whenever we can. We have the fans going and the windows opened. And they suggested to wear light colored shirts too. I know most of us wants to enjoy the sun but hopefully not too much! Stay safe and don't forget to wear your sun screen and a wide brimmed hat and bring a water bottle where ever you go!

Yeah. I can feel you. Everyday it is like you are in the oven. I know it sounds exaggerating but it is true. It makes me want to stay in Baguio, but I know there are also lots of tourists there

When it's above a certain degree (I think it's like 37C if I'm not mistaken), those who work outside (construction workers, etc) are advised to stop working and seek shade.

@diosabella On really hot days, I put the water bottle in the freezer the night before. So on the day it stays cool a bit longer instead of turning warm not long after I take it out. The only down side is, it can become a bit messy when the ice is slowly melting inside and the bottle becomes wet on the outside...

i have to keep refilling our dog's water bowl because she's always drinking, too. my mother keeps watering her plants. we have also started making ice to add to the drinking water kept in a metal pitcher. normally, we're okay with cool tap water the rest of the year.

I do that too. Alex my puppy been drinking crazy. Too hot. I even gave him bath one day early so he could feel refresh. We also make some ice so we could have plenty to cool off all day.

It sounds like it is really hot there. When it is hot here I'm always pleased that I'm now retired.

Hot is okay... But the humidity is too high. That's getting me down. I hope to get some breeze from your place.

It is not summer here yet, but we know it will be here soon. The heat here is not as bad as the winter cold @diosabella

I guess the heat is much better than too much cold. But I do want to experience snow even once. But not the coldest ones.

I agree. We need to be hydrated always. Children and elderly should be reminded to stay away from the sun especially during noon up to mid afternoons.
