"Eating seaweed salad may boost the efficacy of vaccinations and help treat cold sores, herpes, Epstein-Barr virus, and shingles." Dr. Greger "Wakame seaweed salad may lower blood pressure." Dr. Greger Yes, I bought some wakame and a few others and will add it to my diet. Do you think it's all hype or does seaweed really boost our immune system?

I think it is good for the immunity, I used to take it some years ago, and as far as I remember, my immunity was good - the seaweed was taken with calcium, but I forget the name.. I have since then used other products to boost the immunity..

Here it is popular for us to have the seaweed. It is a healthy food. We can use it to make a starter, dessert of soup. And here there is a snack made from the seaweed. It is dry and it is as think as a piece of paper. When my child was very little, he said it as vegetable paper That's my favorite way to have seaweed

Good to know! Yes, I have seen the thin Nori strips and they are delicious to eat. I enjoyed the wakame I had for supper. I just mixed it with my salad. In the future, I will try all the different seaweed and vary them as I'm sure they all have different health properties that are good for us.

Have you ever tried any of the different seaweeds that exist? Are there health foods stores close to where you live?

@1hopefulman I have tried a seaweed that grows in the salt marshes of France, the name is Salicornia, also called glasswort or pickleweed. It was sold fresh in the fish markets in the south of France, the taste was similar to asparagus.

@LadyDuck That's not bad tasting as I eat my asparagus raw in a salad and I like the taste.

Apparently, it is filled with minerals that are no longer in our soil or so they say. I'm just going to throw some in my salads are soups.I actually liked the wakame and my salt has kelp in it. It may be one way to get iodine in our diet.

Like this post. Grams bought some seaweed after trying the samples at Costcos and I've been hooked ever since!!! The wafers have a good flavor and I started craving seaweed instead of potato chips, my all time favorite. I ate so much I started to turn green. They are quite the rage here even with kids who get excited about seaweed. Since my blood pressure has gone down. Had to control my craving. need to get some more.
