Supine and side -lying.

These cute puppies assume different sleeping positions and when they sleep supine, we always think that they need to cool their abdomen. How should we term that? Is it abs? Hahaha!
The puppies sleep in pairs. It seems they have their own favorite sibling.
My son was the one who noticed these 2 pups so I took this phone (where I will use to post this discussion ) and edited the image.
Another sleeping position other pets do is the prone with both pairs of limbs extending.
They can also assume fetal position.
Do you sleep with one position only,or do you toss and turn? I usually sleep supine or on either side with a pillow that I hug.

does this mean you don't use a pillow under your head, but only to your side to hug?

@ridingbet I have two, sometimes three pillows on my bed. Sometimes one or two would be under my head.

@Kandae11 indeed, because we have to have the right angle of pillow so we won't have nuchal pain.

always on my side. i lie on my back while reading, with 2 pillows under my head, but one or both legs must be bent, or up against the wall.

@LadyDuck if i lie flat on my back with legs straight, my lower back and hips would start to hurt.

@hereandthere I have the same problem, if I lie on my back it hurts after a few minutes.

Those puppies are too cute... I want one!
I sleep on my side most of the time and I too like to hug a pillow!
and I like a small travel size pillow under my neck and I like one that feels cool and I flip it often to always keep the cool side up!

@LadyDuck as for me, i slept with just one pillow under my head, until i got sick last 2010, and the doctor advised me to sleep with 2 pillows high under my head.

@ridingbet No, I barely heard my kids cry when they were babies. My husband had to wake me up. Lol!

thanks, and i presume you are not a light sleeper? you wake up easily when a noise is heard, like a cat meowing?

therefore your cat sleeps alone, and you toss and turn in your own bed.

ingrid, there are times she sleeps on the bed with me and sometimes on the bean bag in the room and other times she sleeps elsewhere in the apartment.

I didn't know that puppies will choose a "sleep" sibling. Cool. I prefer to fall asleep on my side or stomach. I usually wake up in a mess!

no, that is what we think about because the 4 puppies seem to have better sleep when they are all together or in pairs. maybe too, because they connect to each other like when they were still inside the womb of their mother, but not keeping themselves warm because it is so hot in here now

I am crazy when sleeping. Maybe I sleep on bed but when I woke up, I am on the floor

you are really a very 'movable' sleeper. i would not want to sleep with somebody who tosses and turns more often than an awake pet dog.
