As I wander around Pixabay looking at the Editors Choice Images I came across this beautiful image of a pond with water lilies. It reminded me of a little pond we had years ago filled with goldfish and water lilies. It was so beautiful and peaceful.
For about a week of so we were able to go out, sit on a bench in our garden and enjoy the fish. It was a relaxing, peaceful activity for us to enjoy after dinner.
One day we noticed that there didn't seem to be as many fish as there had been the day before. What happened?
The next day, there were even less fish. We became suspicious and began to think that maybe we were having uninvited guest visiting our pond of the feline kind.
We scooped out the remaining goldfish and kept an close eye on the pond to see what we could discover. Yep, we had three uninvited cats visiting the pond after dark.
You should have seen their little faces when they discovered an empty pond. We decided that we would leave the pond for a bit but not put any more fish in it.
It was a pretty little pond and the water lilies were beautiful but it was just not the same without the fish.
