Marsha's Log: First Iris Has Bloomed

I came back to town from babysitting to find that my first Iris has bloomed!
Strangely enough, it's not yellow.
I did buy some bulbs at the Iris show a few years back. I also dug up bulbs from a ladies yard when she offered in the freecycle group. I think she said they were peach and blue. Maybe this is one of the blue ones?
@GardenGerty gave me some bulbs one year too, but I planted those all up by the front porch. They are purple and yellow and I do hope they bloom this year too, but so far no blooms coming up.
The wind was really blowing yesterday, but I am so glad that I was able to capture a very good picture with my phone.

That's awesome your first iris. I haven't seen any flowers bloom yet in my yard but hopefully soon. We have had alot of rain lately so hope that will help.

It looks so pretty! Nice and white and almost glowing. One of ours bloomed too. It is purple and yellow.

I'm sure looking daily...and I am now seeing blooms starting on the ones by the front porch too.
