Dinner with brother's family

India

It has been a little more than an year that we met. Leave alone lunch or dinner. I really wonder when we were kids we used to spend like 24*7 hours together and now when we are married and have our own family to look after we could barely see each other however we miss each other. Its kind of strange. Though we dont have any animosity with each other still we fail to meet even once a month or two. So we have decided that we will surely visit each other in alternation from now on. Hope that works in the long run and we get to see each other a little more.

It is always nice to meet your siblings. It just brings back the nice memories you had together. I hope that you get to see each other more often

@Blushandglow that is so true. However it is sad that things changes as we grow up but we must assume our responsibilities and look after our families too

Exactly. Having a brother or sister makes childhood so memorable and interesting. Now when I look back I could only laugh at the horrible things that we did to each other. Him tearing apart my doll and me hiding his favorite comics just to tease him. And then our fights. It was too much fun.

It's the same for me, I almost never see my brother since we both got married.

That's really sad. You both should definately plan something and meet up. It would be nice. Trust me. I feel so happy and content.

@Blushandglow I know, but we now live in two different countries and it costs money to go to visit.

My sisters live quite a way from me, but we make a point of meeting up at least once a year. We love each other, but seeing more of each other can be difficult. I hope you manage to see more of your brother.

I understand. Its such a sad thing though. We stay with our brothers and sister for a major part of our life and then we just go to our different ways. Anyways its good that you and your sisters meet atleast once in a year.

Reading this post kind of moved me. It made me think when I get married even I may feel the same way about my sister. Now we fight a lot but once we are apart we might miss each other. Thanks for sharing.
