Faking im sick to skip school

@celticeagle wrote a discussion that reminded me of this discussion. I didn't like school cuz all the kids made fun of me. So, I would stick my finger down my throat. Mom gave me cracker and ginger ale. This would go on two or three days a week. Mom got suspicious and decided I must be Faking.
I rode the bus and I wanted to avoid the bus because no one would let me sit with them. The bus driver just drove the bus with me standing because all the kids sat on the end of their bench seats and refused to let me sit.
The bus driver didn't care, and never sent a note home or anything. I feel like I could have fallen in the aIsle and gotten hurt. What if the bus got into an accident?
Do kids go through that kind of torment today from bully kids?

So sorry to hear about you getting bullied in school.
Back in the day, I was bullied as well because I was always the youngest in class. Managed to fend for myself eventually.
I faked sickness to miss class as well but that is just because I was a lazy student.

I ended up failing due to anxiety. I wish there was home schooling back in the day.

All of a sudden I remember my school days. I would cry in front of my mom saying my tummy hurts even if its not true. Faking it to skip school only she brought me to the nearest clinic and got me injected with pain killer because she gave me one but i said it still hurts. ( i could have just gone to school instead of facing that syringe. urrgghh how I hate needles. karma is real. lol )

@homebasedbobbie oh, did it make you want to get up and go to school? Or did you stay home and eat your lunch at lunchtime?

Sorry that this happened to you. I am sure there is still a lot of this and worse going on in the schools, etc today. Where I worked I was almost treated this bad, and it is sad when people always are wanting to act like they are better than everyone else, and shocked the Bus driver back then never wanted to do anything about it.

@KrauseHome it's sad that when bus drivers add fuel to the file they should be held accountable.

Yes, I did. I was so miserable that I tried to fake sickness and to this day I can make myself throw up on cue. I tried to kill myself when I was 12. I used to fantasize about taking my dad's shotgun to school and killing those horrible monsters but dreaming and actually doing was 2 separate things back in those days.
I don't think of those people often but when I do I try to remember that their brains are wired wrong. It's true, their pleasure centers light up when they see people or animals suffer. There have been several studies done on it so I don't know why they are not trying to do something about it. Maybe they are and are afraid to say so because the parents would start screaming that there's nothing wrong with their darling little monsters.

I don't know what causes bully kids. Maybe they have to pick on kids to raise their own self esteem. Sometimes I think of the ringleader of the pack. I wanted to confront him online but told myself to let it go.

@OreoBrownie Sorry, I forgot to include the link to the study about the brains of these monsters. They are definitely wired wrong and I don't understand why they apparently haven't bothered to find out how to cure them. They destroy so many lives!
Aggressive boys may actually derive pleasure from watching other people suffer pain, a new study says.

@dragon54u wow! That's kind of like serial killers brains fire differently than a person with no instinct to kill. Science is coming a fantastic tool in understanding the mind.

I remember faking being sick when President Kennedy was assassinated.
Bus drivers are still rather idiotic if you ask me. I guess they have to be impartial.

I was also bullied in school. From kindergarten to Highschool but i did not fake being sick just to skip school. I had three close friends in school without them,I would not have survived school. They were the reason why I always looked forward each day in school. My teachers were not cool with me either.
