Looking for Sherlock Holmes Desperately

Our daughter has just completed her ICSE board examinations. She is not a book worm but loves to read story books. First thing she asked for after the demanding days was a book of Sherlock Holmes mysteries. I had one in my collection but as my library is just a heap of books, I couldn't find the one wanted by her. She too had seen it sometime, so she knows it is somewhere in the heap. Both of us searched but the book eluded our eyes. It is not so small that we need magnifying glass to find it. There are no town libraries nearby where I could borrow a Sherlock Holmes. Let's hope I find the book tomorrow! There are some local detectives like Feluda and Byomkesh Bakshi but Sherlock is her favorite. And so we are looking for the Baker Street sleuth desperately. Can you suggest any solution?

Tidy up your books as you go and put them in alphabetical order or something. That way you will have to really look at each book. Good luck with finding it.

I'll look again. No one takes such books from me. It must be somewhere in the room.

You can download all the Sherlock Holmes books online. The copyright has ended ages ago, and all the books are available freely online. I download several books from Project Gutenberg, including Sherlock Holmes and Hans Christian Andersen.

A closet maybe? I hate it when I can't find a book I want to read or need as a resource and know it's here somewhere. I hope you find it.
