The scariest world we've ever known is today.

Am I the only one that is frightened by recent events in our world? I will never claim to know everything, nor will I degrade someone for having a different opinion than I have. Why has Syria moved their military equipment to the Russian base? Why does a group of people exist for the sole purpose of causing terror? I can't wrap my mind around the idea of hurting another human being. Maybe I am blind to some of it, and if so then that's probably a blessing but I know every single time I turn on the news there isn't much good. It seems like every day something horrible is happening.

I agree. I look at all that is going on around us and the uncertainty.. and sometimes I am glad I chose to not have any children. This world is getting really scary.

I have friends that say the exact same thing. They worry that they wouldn't be able to truly protect them and don't want to Hem to see the things going on in the world today. Seems like the tomorrow's are getting worse.

The Bible tells us that we live in the last days of the evil system, and soon God will take away the ones who cause problems for mankind.. He has promised that the earth will be a paradise - see Isaiah chapter 11. We can see the prophecies being fulfilled in front of our eyes.. 2 Timothy 3:1-5 - we are very close tho the Big Change -

I find comfort in knowing where mine and my family's souls will be when the end comes. But it truly does scare me every day. When I W as a child we could play outside all day and never worry a bit. Now I make my boys stay in our backyard, where I can look out the window (every 30 seconds it feels like) to make sure they are ok. I also keep the windows open so if they make ANY weird noise, I can immediately check on them. Truthfully, I don't know if the world has changed that much or if in my younger years I was just blinded to it all. It feels like so many children are. I longer able to just be kids anymore. It's so sad.

@Skittie If you go to the site where the Bibe chapter above is, - jw.org..- you may find interesting info about the last days. In the end of the site there is also a broadcasting link with lots of information with many videos about what the Bible teaches - and on the left side is a search link which I often use in some discussions here in myLot.. I hope you find this site interesting.. It has about 800 languages, translated by volunteer workers..

Certainly it is a real worry now with North Korea's PM and Trump squaring off. I hope they all manage to see some sense.

@Skittie That's the way it seems to me too. North Korea seems very strict and hard on its citizens.

I wholeheartedly agree. I voted for Trump in part because he doesn't back down and I am tired of seeing our great nation be taken advantage of. But I also don't want a WWIII either. I don't claim to know everything, I'm probably less informed than what I need to be. But I know I'm scared and worried. I could be completely wrong in this... Seems like I once read that the citizen of N.Korea are basically cut off from the outside world and are only able to see on tv and the news what the N.Korean government will allow. Does anyone know if this is true?
