Favorite 80's Dance Songs #2 - "Do You Fear (For Your Child?)"

We are at #2 in my Favorite 80's Dance Songs series, in which I am counting down my favorite 80's dance songs, most of which were heard in that decade's dance clubs. The second spot belongs to "Do You Fear (For Your Child?)" by My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult.
My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult was formed in Chicago in 1987 by vocalist Groovie Mann and keyboardist Buzz McCoy, who met when both were touring as members of Ministry (at one point, the lineup also included Electric Hellfire Club vocalist Thomas Thorne, known as Buck Ryder in the TKK.) McCoy and Mann began the Thrill Kill Kult as a film project. The movie was never completed, but they did finish the soundtrack, which was released as a three song EP.
From their 1988 debut album I See Good Spirits and I See Bad Spirits, "Do You Fear (For Your Child?)" sees the band in their industrial dance mode (by their third album, they had moved on to a disco/lounge sound.) It was not, as far as I know, released as a single, but is easily the most danceable track on the record.
Unfortunately, this is one tune I never got to hear in a mainstream club, as I was in Germany by this time, and it was not released over there. It did, according to a friend, receive club play in Denver at the time, and was still played in the alternative clubs years later.
Lest ye be concerned about the title, the song is not a threat towards children, rather an "I fear for the future of our children" sort of thing.
And you can work up quite a sweat to it!

Not as mindless as some of their pseudo, tongue in cheek Satanic stuff is. That stuff is funny, although the PMRC takes it seriously.

They've always used a lot of soundbites and stuff. You should hear "Kooler than Jesus." They took everything up a notch.

They've done a lot of stuff people might consider strange.

I am not big on club songs. Sure, some of them have cool beats and get they are supposed to be fun. I just think most sound the same and never say anything. This song however shows you can have fun and say things that matter. I am not sure how you find some of these songs, but great job of finding this and sharing.
