Works Completed,I Am Free For Next Three Days

Today is Monday.Today morning I completed all the extra works that I was asked to do.The manager appreciated it and granted me leave for the next three days.
Just back from my workplace,now when I'm typing these lines,the whole town has worn a deserted look owing to the intense heat we are facing these days.Outside my window everything seems to be burning.Roads are empty.You can't see even a street dog there.Shops are shut.The Mercury is threatening to cross 46 C.
I have just taken a glass of sugarcane juice to keep myself cool.
At 6 p.m.I'll go out for my long evening walk.Tonight I'll try to chalk out my mylot strategy for the next three days.

@Happy2BeMe Yes,I will take care to keep myself cool.Still,I admit, it is not easy to put up with a constantly soaring Mercury.

@Nawsheen ThaNHS, my friend.Yes,this year we are going to have an intensely hot summer.In such a hot season a pat on your back by your boss feels like a cool breeze.I had to work extremely hard to get appreciated by my boss.My boss has been kind to me.LOL!!

I hope the leaves are over and you got back to work. The heat is up every place and I even heard from Kerala there is rise in temperature. Usually Kerala is a cool place as there are so many trees and got much rain. But now there also people complained on heat.

But winter was good in our place, at least we avoid all those electronic stuffs.

@just4him It's not hot,it's extremely hot.Unbearable.We need to summon courage before venturing out after 9 a. m.The town seems to be a furnace.Fortunately there is no scarcity of water.We have plenty of cold drinks also.I prefer drinking sugarcane juice to keep myself cool and hydrated.

@ridingbet Thanks.Today is the second day of my 3 days leave.Yesterday we had planned to go for a picnic,but that could not happen,due to extremely hot season.Today we are going to a neighbouring towns where we wI'll have a picnic on the river bank.

@ridingbet Yes,there are some trees about 50 yards from the river bank.You may call it sort of a jungle.A small patch of land covered by trees.It is there where we will enjoy picnic under the shadow of trees.Earlier we had planned to put of a tent but ultimately decided in favour of the "jungle."Trees will protect us from a merciless sun.

@else34 that is nice. a wonderful way to spend your 3 days leave from work. but are there trees in the riverbanks? or are you putting up a tent to protect you from the UV rays of the sun?
be careful because the sun's rays can cause skin disorders.

No,not really.Actually my two colleagues suddenly caught fever and I was asked to finish the work left undone by them apart from doing my own.It was a hard task and I had to labour hard to complete it.The manager knows I'm completely exhausted and so he wants me to relax now.
