Let me explain more once I post this before someone gets upset and wants to disagree or unfollow me, etc.
Here is my Pet Peeve:
My Pet Peeve: $12 hr is too much $$ for help from the Government and you starve for 2 people, but $15 an hr or more an hr and here is your Free help. Medical, Food Stamps, etc. I guess if a person is disabled they have to go to work to live while others can live Scott Free or starve and not be able to pay their bills.
We know someone who is related to my husband ... His neice and husband. She makes $15 an hr and he gets SSI. Somehow they get all his meds for Free, Food stamps, etc and are on housing. He also has a music business and has a studio and making over $1000 a month from that. Tell me if you would be upset a little as well?
I am disabled. I am Diabetic, have a Chronic wound that refuses to heal and now no medical will cover it for treatment besides what I or a Doctor can do to help it. I also have Fibromyalga and was told by my Doctor to quit working. So I have been trying to make a living online selling on eBay, etc and no one really caring that I am not getting any sales this yr. Even from the online business I have been doing, or actually most of all them it seems.
So maybe I am having a pity party, but totally upset right now. Really wishing there was a better way before people who are really trying cannot eat get gas in our car to get my husband back and forth to work, etc. At least we are getting some back on our Income tax, and that will help when it comes. Hoping it is soon since we chose Direct deposit.
I just need Prayer and a miracle.

It's not right that your not being helped. I think some people lie about their income in order to get help. Not everyone but some do. I will keep you in my prayers and I hope you get the miracle you need very soon.

Wow. I know the system /government is screwed up, but come on. Maybe they aren't saying everything they get and do to the government to get the foodstamps and what not? Only thing i can think of.
I hope you get some help from the government or sales or something very soon!

@Courtlynn They actually were bragging about this. Even online on Facebook before they blocked me.

That is SO SAD!! I really wish they could go back to the old way and be able to and willing to trace everyone by the SS #: and bank account, etc instead of saying they don't have time so those who really need the help like me keep on being denied.

You have got the prayer and all best wishes going your way.
It is not fair no not at all.
Its hard to figure out how one can get more than the other.
Wishing that money gets to you on speedy wings know the feeling.

Well, here it is the end of the month. 5 days until I get my disability check. 6 days before my husband gets paid, and not sure when we will get our Income tax refund. We are right now not sure where Gas money is going to come from, etc. We are down to nothing and need a miracle. But going to go to some of the places I know offline and try selling some Jerky, etc and see if I can make some extra $$.

@lovinangelsinstead21 Unfortunately, there are so many out there having a rough time anymore. It really makes you wonder if things can ever turn around for the moral majority of people out there.

Things will work out I am sure for you both.
We are not having a brilliant time either in that sense.
More Prayers going out for you and that will do a lot even if you don“t see anything right away.

I had a special education student whose mother knew the ins and outs of our state laws. She got a free house with a pool, car, and money from the state and didn't work, although she was capable. I don't think life is fair, and changes must be made in our system.

So True... It needs to go back to where housing is only available to LOW income to where they have to have proof of a Checking account, job, etc via their Social Security numbers, and what is wrong with going back to where they check everything every 6 months for those who might be starting to go back to work, etc?

Many abuse social security benefits and it just makes it harder for the genuine cases to get money.

Amen to that. It makes it hard because then everyone thinks everyone under 65 is lying, or why are they getting help? Personally can you see every disability without watching someone for a couple of weeks unless it is obvious?

So true. The main issue I think is there is no real system out there anymore that can really check who a person really is compared to who they say they are. Many times what they tell the State or SS, etc is something way different than what they are posting on Facebook, or doing in person. Makes you wonder how can these agencies, etc not really check on people.
