We live in our parental house which my father bought around 50 years back. At that time when he bought this it was a good locality which now has been turned in to a commercial place and it's tough to live here due to commercial activities go on here 24X7 so we have planned to sell this and bought a new house.
I have a mixed feelings as I am sad too because there are lots of emotions of mine attached with this house . I was born in this and even my kids also were born here. It's been 42 years I have been living here.
I am not willing to move to another place. I am stuck. What should I do now?

@HAPPSINGH Yeah, our family is #1 priority so if the place you're living at now is not good because of all the commercial activities 24/7 and the only option is to move ~ then I suppose that's the best route! But if you do move, how do you know the new spot won't be any worse?

our house is around the same age and our neighborhood is also getting more commercialized (and noisy). there are lots of eateries and businesses selling all sorts of goods and services. if a commercial space does not prosper, it doesn't take long for something else to take its place. where will you move to?

@sjvg1976 thankfully, no traffic jams here yet. but when there's street diggings/constructions, vehicles will pile up

Well, you have to do something to minimize if not to eliminate the ongoing commercial activities that are bothering you and your loving family . . . How? I am not sure . . but if I were you I have to do something to scare those greedy businessmen so that they relocate their businesses to some other place. How? Again I don't know . . . but if I were you I will organize a gang like those Italian Mafia and start terrorizing those greedy businessmen. . . . hahahahaha! Just kidding!

Oh. I can really understand your feelings. I felt the very same when I have to leave the place I was born n grown-up at for 26 years. We moved only 10 kilometres away but for 1 year 2years i didn't get out of the home at new place. I stayed inside house but nothing can be done so I accepted the reality and you keep in mind that It's for your kids future too... How can you live there if it's all commercial type there.
Sorry to know

It's very hard to leave your home.
(Imagine the feelings of a girl who is leaving her parent's home after the marriage.)
