They Chose Not To Interview Me

Sorry, gotta vent for a hot minute. I applied for this job recently that I was really pumped about within my organization. It was very related to what I do now, and I spent a lot of time writing a cover letter and filling out the app. The only requirements was a bachelor degree. Which I had. Plus the relevant experience. The hours and location were perfect for me too. Got the rejection email today. Its hard not to feel a little hopeless about the job situation. I am employed but far too many folks at my job become complacent and stay without advancement for sooo long. I just dont want to be in this spot forever. And I am truly bummed since this was such a cool job and so relevant to what Ive done. Sigh. Oh well. Any words of wisdom apprecated. How is everyone elses day?

Oh no.! It really kills my confidence whenever I'm rejected but don't worry, life has kept something better for you

Me too. It definitely made me feel a little unworthy. But I am just keeping my eye out for the next even better opportunity

Sad that many times it seems jobs are just so hard to get or uncaring these days, Are you getting your resume out there to others as well ? Personally do not give up hope. Something better is out there waiting for you

Thanks for your positive vibes. Its appreciated! Iam looking only within the organization for now. Long story but eseentially I have to wait 5 years before I am vested in their pension - if I leave befpre 5 years they take back all the money theyve contributed into it. So rude. Lol

I'm sorry to hear that. But they said a door close actually might open for a better one. Who knows, you might get a better opportunity than this.

Thanks. I appreciate that. It does feel a little hopeless sometimes. But I am thankful I have a job and all that at the same time!
