dinner tonight -- no idea!

Tonight is the music performance night at my daughter's school. As one of the school fundraisers, they will be selling food shortly beforehand -- tacos, nachos, and quesadillas (they might be food trucks). Unfortunately I have no idea how long the lines will be, or if it will be a decent amount for the price, or even complete enough of a dinner. I am torn between wanting to help support the fundraiser, and just wanting to make dinner early so we can eat at home and save money. Picture from Google Image Search

@spiderdust - They probably do that so you'll order more. More for the cause.

@teamfreak16 I think it was just lack of experience. They charged $8 for a plate of tortilla chips with a few blobs of canned cheese sauce, a couple dollops of sour cream, and a sprinkle of meat.

It's what we ended up doing, but then we needed more food after the event... their "super nachos" didn't have much on them.

It turned out to not be food trucks, but parent volunteers making the food... which meant long, slow lines and tiny portions for a large price. :(

@chrissbergstrom Yeah, they had some trouble with getting the cheese sauce heated up in time, so they were running back and forth to a microwave inside.

As it is a fundraising I would be tempted to go to buy the food, but I usually prefer to prepare the food at home.

Best thing is to prepare a dinner at home. See what would be most appropriate for a Friday. Pasta is always welcome.
