I had this sitting on my kindle for about a week before I decided to rip it open and read it.
The book itself only took me a few nights to read, as it kept drawing me in, even when I didn't really want to read anymore of it. I do have to say that I am glad I finished the book.
It does have somewhat of a young adult (genre) feel to it, but I don't think it distracts from the plot at all.
My Personal Synopsis:
There have been many theories of who Jack The Ripper might have been. A physician, A Traveling Gentleman, A Woman. No matter the theory, there is always one common trait. The killer was a person who killed to avenge or alleviate their own inadequacies.
Raina is a young dancer who finds herself in an unimaginable situation. An alluring noble gentleman has made many advances on her. She is both enthralled by him and yet weary. As well she should be.
Marcus Loxley has become bored with his existence, that is until he feasts his eyes on a young woman who reminds him of his long ago love. He will do anything to make this woman his, including forcing death upon her.
Meanwhile, the London streets are ravaged by grotesque murders while the people of nobility enjoy their own quirky pastimes...

Anyway, I am quite horrible with synopsis' (synopses?) and so will also leave you a link to the book. It appears to be a series.

That's a good theory and you are most likely right. Advancements in forensic technology was still knew then, but I imagine it was somewhat thorough enough to catch the killer.
Though it appears, if they did know who the man was, nothing was ever written down about it. Which is much more the pity, as it robs our generations of knowing...

@ScribbledAdNauseum May be that the family related this killer is still a very powerful one.

You are right. He could have very well been a well loved man in society and at home... No one really knows for sure who he was.. .I do love a bit of a twist on a heavily talked about topic.
