Why does everything that is different always scare most people?

Usually this always happens, everything or all people that are different usuall to receive the "bad looks" of the more conservative people and take too long to be accepted (although this does not always happen).
Unfortunately prejudice seems to be an "invincible" disease. But I still have a lot of faith that the world will still be a better place for everyone.
What do you think about that?

People fear what or who is different because it makes us feel out of control. I do believe that one person at a time we can make our world better, if we are willing to.

I think you are right. It is a factor of how we were raised and also..something we don't understand.

I dread not knowing what it is. But I dread more if I just let it and not know about it in the end. So many people don't like changes. They like to live in the past when we can all live in the future and respect the past too at the same time.
