Many of us are here at Mylot for different reasons. Some for the little bit of money we earn, some are here to have somewhere to vent/rant, some are here for friendships and some are here to learn new things.
Me? I am 90% here for the adult interaction I have here! With that of course comes friendships, which I adore!
I am usually around little ones all day and night which I love but I don't have much adult interaction offline. My husband gets home late most nights, we talk for a little bit then it's bed time.
Other than that I get the adult interaction I love right here on Mylot! It is wonderful for me. =) I never feel lonely since I have many friends right here.

@JudyEv Yeah all day I have my babies to talk to but it's not quite the same as having adult conversations.

I fully appreciate what you are saying about finding adult interaction here on the site. At school I spend most of my days alone in a room with 12 and 13 year olds. Even when I talk to the other teachers it is about kid related matters. My wife, much like your husband, often comes home only in time to eat dinner, watch maybe an hour of TV together, and then she's off to bed.

@TheHorse Yes exactly. =) I enjoy being around little ones but I do love being here as well.
Oh, yes, I forgot - we'd decided to close that avenue of interaction after hearing the lady talking about the robots' interchangeable parts...

The computer is my escape from real people and since Tony is sick he sleeps a lot so its about interaction too, plus a little money is always good. I can buy me a book or CD or a shirt, nothing big but something I would have not bought if I did not earn it here.

@andriaperry Yeah it is nice being able to get something for my kids now and then with Mylot money. I wouldn't be able to do that either if I didn't make a little money here.

I love being able to interact with other people. I really have no real life friends, I am not very fond of my age cohort on certain apps, where here, even though many are not close to my age, I can actually talk to them. Everything is civil. We teach each other things and we can socialize. I love it!

@Desirousdreamer I don't have offline friends either. I know the feeling. I agree, I feel like I have many great friends here no matter what their age is.

I can relate to this, I spend most of my day around my son. My boyfriend is here but it's not quite the same at times. For the most part, I'm here to get some stuff off my mind, I'm a fairly quiet person offline and I need some place to get everything off my mind.

I live alone, and comint here is good for me, as I don't talk to anyone, unless it is on my cell phone. I can't talk to the dogs, a they don't answer back, so coming in here and interacting, I know that people are going to talk back to me so I don't feel as lonely that way. I am here basically, for the interaction as well, as with it, I have learned a lot, and made a little money along with it.

@LovingMyBabies It really is and I have made so many freinds here anc conttinyue to make more. It is really great, as it makes me feel how specia I am to others, and they are special to me a well. We are all family here, and pretty muh all of us are here for the same thing, and that is to interact withs others, and learn from them as well.

@divalounger Yeah I have my own kids and I babysit so I'm only around little ones usually. So Mylot helps so much being able to have adult conversations. =)

Since my husband knows all my stories and hears all my complaints I turn here to unload LOL! It keeps me out of trouble - it helps pass the time until the pool is open and I can get out of here!

@lovingmybabies I understand what you mean. Adult interaction is so important especially when individuals may be stay at home parents, work from home, etc. I agree it is so helpful to be able to have interactions with friends online. I have appreciated this as well. I too spend a great deal of time with my babies and I greatly appreciate the time I have to talk with adults. I'm hoping to start snail mailing with other adults because i feel that interaction is important and I love to receive a letter in the mail writing it really is becoming a dying art.
