Participation of children in reality shows!

Hi all.. I just wanted to know the views of my people of mylot on this..
These days there have been lot of reality shows, be it in the dance, singing or any other type of show.. And I increasingly see the participation of kids in it.
Do you think that it is good for the children to participate in all these shows? I personally feel that we should not have such shows for kids, atleast not till the age of 16 since it actually takes their childhood from them.. Definitely they have to work v had and slog every day as any other adult. I agree that it gives them a v wide exposure and opportunity. But I feel, we should do right thing for the right age, orelse they would never get to live their Childhood. Would welcome views from all of you. :)

In this fast pacing and competitive time, children are losing their childhood and growing very fast. As I see in my neighborhood, children are preoccupied with so many things plus studies that they don't have much time to play in leisure. The craze of reality shows make them more competitive which is mostly forced by the society.
I think children are taken as a dream completion machine by their parents sometimes.

I agree. If it was a show where kids sang songs for kids it would be normal. But they are making kids act as if and appear as grown ups which is bad.

But the way the kids have taken to it I feel they are enjoying it.
