Been Sort of Away Longer Than Expected. This is Not an Apology Either.

I decided to take a few days break from here to try to get more done at home. I'm not going to say I succeeded very well at all. I did get a few things done but not my pile of filing that is top of the list. I even brought up a folding table to put it all on to minimize the pile on the floor and make it easier. One of these days, soon I hope, it will get there.
I have been taking the crew out to work. I had to help wash windows on Monday as it was more involved than I expected, but then I had Tuesday and Thursday off. We worked most of the day Wednesday, but I mostly supervised and kept everyone working and we have two smallish jobs today.
Tonight I'll be at a restaurant with my siblings in the area as my nephew is getting married today at the justice of the peace at the courthouse. He's been with his soon-to-be-bride for at least five years and they have two kids together. The most recent one was born last month. My brother will be paying for the meal at the restaurant for whomever makes it there.
I was keeping up with my notifications the beginning of the week and was happy that I had several days to catch up before the deadline of them falling off the page, but realized this morning that today is that day. I still had about five to check out from a week ago today, but those are now done.
I've not been writing as much since I knew full well I wouldn't be around to interact, but hopefully I can do both this weekend.
I've taken many pictures of my red bud tree, but you can't see the blooms when I'm further away. I'm glad this is a bit better. I don't know whether you can see the dead branches mixed with the live ones. Anyone happen to know whether this tree can still heal?

We have spring flowers and lots of green leaves and stems pushing up from the ground, but no flowers on them yet. We don't have the spring type weather though. Today is windy with a briskness in the air. The thermometer says it's sixty, but it doesn't feel quite that warm out there just yet.

@amadeo It's probably quite similar to the weather and temp we've been having recently. Today wasn't too bad working outside in the sun, although I did have four long sleeved items on just in case. I hate being cold.

@MarshaMusselman Red Buds are usually hardy. We had some beautiful ones in front of our complex until they cut them down. Never could make sense of why they did it.

@MarshaMusselman Sometimes trees get beetles and insects that kill them.

@MarshaMusselman You might be right. We don't have really cold winters. We have a few hard freezes between warmenr days.

@celticeagle I meant the seed of faith in that part of the comment, not regular seed although I did buy some of that today too.

Well, faith is something I've been working on lately, so I can do it for the tree too, I suppose. It only needs to be as big as a little seed to work, and I know the seed is there, I just need to remember to water it once in a while, lol.

Aint that the truth? If I were doing the things I was staying away to do I'd feel better about it though. But at least I got a decent amount of work in this week even though it rained one day and was supposed to rain another.

@chrissbergstrom I have more than a few of those. I have plenty of time these days but not the motivation I need. Hopefully I'll find that motivation before heading back to work the end of this month.

I'm usually busier than this, but right now we can do windows most of the day whereas when I'm back to work we only have two days to work the whole day and the rest of the days it's only two to four hours to give me a break before working.

Sounds like you have been keeping busy. How long do the notifications stay on the page before they drop off? Is it a week?
Hope you have a good day today and a good weekend ahead!

It's almost exactly a week before you will lose them. I've had a few that will stay there a few hours longer than a week after the date, but Valerie says it has to do with the time of day the response or comment was given which isn't shown to us. If a notification came in just before midnight it could take a few extra hours before they're gone, but I don't expect that if I can help it because I've no idea what time of day they came in.

I figure if I need to be away to try to get other things done it's best to be away in the beginning of the month rather than the end when more people are around.
