My uncle has diabetes. He drinks alot of diet Coke. I have been seeing alot of articles saying diet soda is bad for you. I did try a diet drink that is only made here and I didn't like the taste of it. Last month I saw another article saying diet soda is bad for you. The article says there is a study that says diet soda could increase the risk of dementia and stroke. Here is the article:

Diet anything is bad for you, but especially diet sodas. I stopped drinking diet sodas when I first learned about how bad they were for you. I heard a doctor on a doctor's panel once say, "If the word die is in the word, it isn't good for you." I've taken that to heart and have stayed away from anything diet related since. I won't even buy anything that has 'lite' in it. I know there are more calories in the full bodied foods and drinks as I call it, but it is also healthier for you.

I have been drinking diet soda for probably 55 years. I saw that on the news and it bothered me. I have given up diet soda until the next article comes out that says it's not bad for your brain.

I think any manufactured drink is bad for you if you drink too many. On the other hand if we listened to every health scare we'd have run out of things to eat and drink by now.

I never go for bottled soft drinks. We make our own fruit juices. What they make is from chemicals.

I think that, as everything, moderation is the key. A can or two a day is probably not dangerous, more it can be.

Yes, they are best avoided - it's a wonder they are allowed to produce them if they have been proved to be harmful.

@JESSY3236 If a thing is prejudice to our heath then from my perspective it should be avoided if you have an alternative option available
