Got a better deal!

My internet provider increased my data allowance for the same price. Yay! I've called customer service several times last month about upgrading my plan cause I don't have unlimited and I noticed that I kept buying add-on data bundles this year because of the kids hanging out at my place on weekends. I was about to upgrade it to unlimited for a higher price of course but an angel named Chris, from tech department, went extra mile for me after almost an hour on the phone. He gave me a better deal -- same price and more than enough data for everyone.

It was a long story hehe.. but one of the things he did was to speak with his team leader about it. I'm with PLDT, by the way..

prior to being with PLDT, i was with Globe and i was just supposed to upgrade my connection with them but my sister-in-law made an effort to go to PLDT and i was surprised that they do have Fibr connection here already so without hesitation i took their offer instead. i wasn't very happy with Globe but they gave me an unlimited data anyway.

is your internet provider globe or smart? if pldt, then the customer service representative usually offers their upgrade with an iPad and extra fees as well.

haha now i remember, someone called from the sales department once, it annoyed me a bit cause he woke me up. he was trying to sell me a stick/dongle or something and after babbling for a few minutes i had to cut him off and told him to remove me from the calling list. and that was it, that was the last..

We just got a great deal too with this move and they had a good package- It only lasts 6 months but we can negotiate when it's over- Very happy with it too!

Good for you that they did that. For most that you will be dealing with them they would prefer that you upgrade plans rather than what you’ve experienced. Maybe you have been a good customer to them that they granted you that one.

Well Vodafone did this for me too. I didn’t even have to call. They told me they noticed a trend in that I’ve been buying too much add on and asked if I want an upgrade for lesser than the amount I’m paying for add ons.

Are you subscribed to Globe? I heard some of my friends buy add-ons because they of data cap. Glad you got an upgrade for free.

@MGjhaud the PLDT connection is good here but when most people are at home, it slows down. And will definity speeds up when there are less users connected to the router.

Wow that's good. I don't have that problem now as reliance company has launched a sim which has unlimited data free. Up to 1 gb per day you will get superb speed and after that you will get a bit slow working internet.
