Are Your Prepared?

I have been piecing together over the past five years or so info for when I pass on so my daughter won't be totally at a loss. I have it on a notepad in my thumb disk.
I have listed my BFF to call, bank info and other places that need to be notified. Also my online activity information so she can see if I am near cashing out on any of the sites I worked. THings to help her at this emotional time. Getting copies of the death certificate and stuff like that.
Is this something you have thought about doing? Is it done or in the process? You just never know.

@celticeagle You are like a boyscout: always ready. You make me think of our mortality and how to be prepare for it and to think for those love ones who will be left behind. Thanks.

It is good to look out for them during such an emotional time.

I haven't done it but my mum
done it for us probably because
she knew we'd be absolutely useless!
She told me where everything was
and had everything in place for years
It was a great help to us as neither
of us had a clue and you don't think
straight at a time like that.
A really nice thing was she had put
a poem in with it. My gran had cut
out of a newspaper and left it for my
mum and her sisters. It was a nice
thing to find that same piece of
paper with the poem and I still
have it now.

You have done a good job. We should keep our near and dear ones informed about our banks accounts and properties etc.

I think so. Then when the time comes it makes their job easier.

@celticeagle I applaud you for taking this step and following the scout motto, ' Be Prepared.'
One never knows! My husband & I have made the living will stating we should not be on life support etc. etc.
All of our important documents are in one file; but we haven't written down any specific instructions.
Thanks for the reminder.

I think it is only right we help our loved ones navigate through a bad time if at all possible.

They might forget and so it's good to have it written somewhere.
