busy yesterday

My day yesterday wasn't terribly exciting, but I did a lot. I made the trek over to Costco to get some more bottles of avocado oil while the price was still good ($8.49/1L... it's selling for way more than that at Grocery Outlet!), got myself lunch at the Costco food court (the $3.99 chicken Caesar salad), took my toddler son to the library, then picked up my daughter from her 5K training. I tried typing this all out yesterday afternoon, and that's as far as I got! The rest of the afternoon/evening was pretty busy, as my boy was very active and wanted to play outside. We had a simple dinner of cold roasted chicken (gotta love those Costco $5 rotisserie chickens), corn, and sauteed kale.

Glad you got some good deals at Costco. And had a nice lunch. Wow your daughter training huh? Did not get done yesterday what I need to do, and will not get it done today. Hoping the weekend will motivate me.

Yeah, she's only 8, but has been working with a group called Girls On The Run. Her 5K is tomorrow morning.

Just had one of those chickens from market basket for part of my lunch but had it warm. Have a good day today.

@spiderdust yes. Not fast food, but not something we have to make, that taste delicious.

Aren't they great? It's a convenience food I can justify buying!

I buy two at a time, have one for dinner, strip the meat off of both, afterwards, use the meat for a couple more dinners and simmer the bones to make soup.

Most days pass by in routine fashion with no excitement.

They do, don't they? It makes it hard for me to come up with exciting things to talk about.

I use it for a general cooking oil. It's supposed to hold up to high heat well, so it's better for roasting vegetables than olive oil (which loses its healthy components when heated).

I loved rotisserie chicken - before I turned vegetarian.

Seems like costco did you some good yesterday. Yeterday was a pretty budy day for me too. I ran around doing errands for work probably two hours out of the day and got payroll ready for today. Then home to wake up my boyfriend who had to work all day wednesday night from 10AM till Thursday 5:30AM so it was a crazy day and night on Thursday too. The night didnt get any better for us either. Well i hope this weekend goes well for us and things get better and he can bring home some money from working weds, tonight and tomorrow so i wont be so stressed about the money situation.

The step kids arrive tonight for their weekend with their dad, so I know things will be hectic. That reminds me, I need to see if they all have clean sheets on their beds.

It wasn't a bad day, at least. I did get a little frustrated with how busy it was towards the end, as I couldn't get some other things done, but babies won't be little forever.

Once in a while we buy groceries in Costco here in Calgary. But most of the time we buy at The Real Canadian Superstore. Bags of rice and other food stuffs are cheap in Superstore.

Whoa you did a lot of things yesterday. Looks like a great deal of work to me but at the same time completely satisfying for you and your kids.
