Anyways, rules are as follows, write a poem in any style using the five words that I give you. Write it in one sitting or in under an hour (only to quash your inner editor, rules are loose there). Add it here, OR link in a comment so we can enjoy each other’s' poems. The words can be in any plurality or tense. Today’s words are: friends, world, distance, write, share
Mine is as follows:
Friends are what we make of them, no matter where we are.
With the way the world is now, they can live both near and far
Distance only changes, the ways we can interact,
Writing or talking, skyping or walking, those are just matter of fact
Sharing and caring doesn’t care the hows, your friendships are maintained,
It’s still a friendship, no matter how it remains.
Salutes out there to all mylot friends, you have made a hard year,
Something I could bare and many are quite dear!

This Tolkein kingdom of firs once my world
I travel a planet's distance for a moment's pause,
written large my need to be
to breathe what was common, friends then,
shared now in memory and shadowed lines:
my lineage, my homeland,
I'll not shake it from my shoulders
though I live another epoch.

I like this one. Don't know when I'll have the chance to do it, but I like it.
