Yippy! We're Going Camping!

Most schools are closed for summer. It was decided that we will take the children of the home (35 of them) for camping to the hills in the north. The children are excited to know about it. My only point of worry is we will have to travel by bus. I prefer to take the children by train. Trains are more comfortable for the journey of 550 km. Well, for a train travel we should have started preparing two months ago. We can't get reservations in less than a month and a week is too short a time to get even one seat. Buses are the only option left to us. Problems will be there but we will do our best to make the camping a success! Do you have any plan for the "high temperature" days?

No I stay out of the sun only walking with umbrella for cover. I am sorry you have to travel so far by bus. With the children, it will be fine?

@TiarasOceanView With some generous friends pooling their resources, we can bear the expenses. Only travel and food require to be paid for.

Sounds adventurous. Have an amazing trip. I haven't yet anything planned yet I want to visit a hill station. I am waiting for my cousin's exams to get over. Then we will plan something.

I can't begin to imagine taking 35 children camping. I think you might come home in need of a holiday! I hope you all have a lovely time. How long will you be gone for?

@franxav Children who have too much time on their hands can get into mischief can't they? I'm sure they'll enjoy camping. Do you have tents or some kind of shelters?

Well, it's an activity we do every year to utilize the holidays. Summer holidays in schools are rather long in India. Camping keeps the children busy, it gives fun and also helps them see and learn something new. We will be away for six days.
