I flat out refuse to pay for satellite radio but the so-called free stations online usually have tons of adverts connected to them or you have to click on things to keep the music going. I came across Simple Radio when I was on the Android app site. I downloaded to my phone, clicked the button and was ready to go. There's a pop up advert but it doesn't disrupt the music. You can search for genres of music or themes like “vacation” or “summer”; I get the best results with searching by year or decade. One of the nicest things is international coverage; the stations from Europe have the widest variety. Whether you are looking for 80's pop or current metal, chances are you will be able to find at least two or three stations to bookmark. The only problem I have had with the app is not being able to find station that I know exists. Example: in this area The X is a huge station but it doesn't come up when you search for it and when it does come up it says “not found” or “not available” For all the download info, questions and comments, visit the link beow to go right to the listing for Simple Radio. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.streema.simpleradio Image: Streema

I just use Pandora at work and at home on our Amazon Echo. There are a lot of commercials on it on the desktop version at work, but not many at all on the Echo.

Interesting. I'll have to check it out. Edit: I downloaded it. Found a really cool goth station out of Brazil.
